DesktopOK will help you keep your desktop icons in order. The application can save the position of your desktop icons. If somebody moves them around or if something happens and the order is disturbed, DesktopOK will restore them to the original order.

Download a small archive (less than 1MB in size), extract its contents, then run the DesktopOK executable. That is all you have to do to get started with the application. You will not have to go through any installation process. You just have to run an executable.

The save points created by the application are presented as a list, front and center on the interface. At the top of the interface there are buttons to create more save points, restore the desktop icon layout, delete existing save points, and more. Below, in the left hand side corner, there’s a menu that allows you to change the interface’s language. The nice thing here is that support for lots of languages is provided.

Click “Save” and DesktopOK will save the position of all the icons on your desktop.
Click “Restore” and DesktopOK will restore the icons to the original position. This comes in handy if someone moves the icons around or if something happens and the icons are no longer where they used to be.
Click “Punch the Icons” and all the icons on your desktop will be randomly rearranged.

DesktopOK has a few interesting tools to offer: calendar, show power option in the system tray, launch the Task Manager, hide the mouse cursor, and more.

DesktopOK is free software.

Don’t like it when the position of your desktop icons changes? Go get DesktopOK and it will save their location and will restore them to their original location.

Pros

DesktopOK does not have to be installed; it is portable. There is nothing complicated about the application’s interface; said interface provides support for multiple languages. There are several interesting tools that you can access. Save (manually or automatically) and restore the position of all the icons on the screen. DesktopOK is free software.

Cons

None that I could think of.
